The variety Verdejo Malcorta was almost extinguished but, after years of research, Javier Sanz Viticultor has managed to bring it back to use in order to craft this unique wine. It is an extremely unusual clone of Verdejo which was no longer used due to the difficulty of its haversting (which explains the name “Mal-corta”: Bad/difficult to cut).
NOTA DE CATA
V Malcorta is a surprising wine in nuances, floral, citric, with a pleasant natural acidity and a marked persistence. Bright pale straw yellow color. On the nose, it shows very clean and intense aromas. Citrus aromas, white flowers, stone fruits, with soft mineral notes stand out. In the mouth, it stands out for its marked acidity, which accentuates its fresh and lively character. Its lively character and freshness combine perfectly with shellfish, mollusks, white meat fish such as hake, cod or sole, grilled or baked.
