V Colorado 2016, the unknown genetic red wine by Javier Sanz Viticultor, has won a Gold Medal in 27th edition of Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, held in Brno (Czech Republic) between 4th and 6th of September, 2020.
The jury of the competiton tasted 8500 samples and they agreeded to grant to V Colorado 2016 with this Gold Medal, award that positions this red between the best wines from across the globe.

Among the centenarian verdejo strains from El Pago de Saltamontes, family vineyard registered for the first time in 1863, it was found an unusual red strain, which after being analyzed, it was discovered to be an unknown genetic vine. Javier Sanz has recovered exclusively and, nowadays, it is only found in his vineyards.
After reproducing this plant among the vineyards of Javier Sanz, is born this unique red wine that stands out for its originality and it surprises due to its personality in the nose, and by a great persistence in the mouth.
V Colorado ages 10 months French and American oak barrels and one more year in the bottle.
